
Tuna steak with capers sauce
A tasty tuna steak beautifully seared and served with a tangy, herby and lemony sauce.

Ingredients
Ingredients for the tuna
- 1.5 lb tuna steak
- 2 tbsp avocado oil
- 2 tbsp lemon juice freshly squeezed, about a half lemon
- 1 tbsp capers drained
- 1 tbsp butter
- salt and pepper to taste
Ingredients for the capers sauce
- 3/4 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tbsp horseradish creamy
- 2 tbsp lemon juice freshly squeezed from about half lemon
- 2 garlic cloves
- 2 tbsp capers drained
- 3 tbsp parsley
- salt and pepper to taste

Steps for the steak
- Gather your ingredients.
- Preheat a large skillet with the oil; pat dry the tuna and season with salt and pepper; add the steak to the hot pan and sear on both sides; depending on the size of the steak, sear between 5 to 7 minutes per side.1.5 lb tuna steak, 2 tbsp avocado oil, salt and pepper to taste
- When the tuna is almost done cooking, add the lemon juice, capers and butter; swirl the pan around to allow for the ingredients to combine and for the butter to melt; spoon the sauce over the fish as it finishes up cooking.2 tbsp lemon juice, 1 tbsp capers, 1 tbsp butter
- Remove from the pan and serve with the sauce.

- Gather your ingredients.
- In a mmixing bowl, spoon the mayo and horseradish; mix to combine.3/4 cup mayonnaise, 2 tbsp horseradish
- Using a cutting board, chop the remaining ingredients, garlic, capers, parsley; add to the bowl and mix to combine; add salt and pepper to taste; be mindful that capers are salty.2 tbsp lemon juice, 1 tbsp capers, 2 garlic cloves, 3 tbsp parsley, salt and pepper to taste
